I’m proposing a renaissance in how we understand and catechize around the sacrament of Confirmation.
The book aims to clear up the lies, half truths, and myths about Confirmation and offers tips on how to get parents and teens to see the real value this sacrament offers.
Once considered the “Cockroach of the Sea,” lobster was a cheap, abundant, and wildly misunderstood crustacean fed to dogs, prisoners, and the destitute until the early 1900s. At the turn of the century, the world came to a new understanding of how to prepare and enjoy these creepy little animals and now they are revered as a delicacy, served in the finest restaurants the world over.
Confirmation shouldn’t ever again be considered “a sacrament searching for a theology.” If we celebrate the sacrament for what it is, the theology is spectacular… and delicious with butter.
